Webcams are becoming more common, and this resource provides good ideas for how to effectively use them in teaching. It´s cool to look at an animal at the zoo via a webcam, but it´s enlightening to study that animal and learn about it through your own observations via a webcam.

This site provides an overview, instructional plans, resources and web resources for teachers wishing to incorporate a webcam into their classroom and curriculum. This resource focuses on animal webcams but the tools and tips can be applied to other types.

Possible uses:

Teachers can learn about webcams and discover ways to integrate them into their classes. Teachers can try an observation of their own using the resources and sites. Find resources and information to guide your own creativity and lesson design.
